For two centuries, the modern world has produced extraordinary maps of extraction, mapping mineral deposits, shipping routes, supply chains, and labor flows. We have, by contrast, produced almost no maps of repair.nnThe Atlas of Restoration is an attempt to begin that work. It treats restoration not as a sentiment but as a system: a body of practices, institutions, and disciplines that can be studied, taught, financed, and improved.nnWhat follows is a first sketch, incomplete and partial, offered in the spirit of long collaboration.
