The Restoration Framework

A working doctrine for the restoration of human and natural systems.

The articles below form a draft of the institute's founding framework. Whitepapers and supporting documents will be published as they are finalized.

We commit to a planning horizon longer than the lifetime of those who set it. Our institutions must remember farther than they can see.

Restoration in any one domain is restoration in all. The fourteen domains form a single fabric and must be treated as such.

Our work is to be slow, accurate, and accountable. We publish working papers, field reports, and corrections without ceremony.

We treat capital, attention, and authority as instruments of trust. They are held, not owned.

The framework belongs to no nation, faith, or party. It is offered, in the open, to anyone willing to do the work.
